I was invited to be a part of Lake & Local's first Christmas Village, as a part of their Maker's Market over the weekend. Several stores in downtown Greensboro took part of this event, which was so fun. The day included lots of friends and family taking time out of their day and weekend to come see and even support Kent & Co, and some of the other great makers; Santa was even there, along with the Kona Ice truck and some great smelling BBQ!
I can't express the outpouring of love from the community, my friends and family. I have said it before, and I will say it again, I am forever grateful for the support, new friendships and the encouragement Kent & Co. continues to get! I will stand on that gratefulness; my heart is so happy with each purchase, but if you saw the excitement behind my daughters' eyes when they see momma succeeding and happy, you would one thousand percent understand how grateful I am!
My daughters, my husband and my mom & in laws all had something that they helped with in making this market a success for me. My sweet husband has began cutting 90% of my wooden items for me, including the cow heads and christmas tree leaners! He pulled a late night with me this week helping me paint in ways that he could (base coats and staining!); most importantly, when I wanted to give up and backout, or take only what I had, he kept going, he pushed me without even knowing he pushed me to keep on. SO, SO thankful.
Here are a few images from the event!
A huge thank you to Lake & Local for hosting and inviting us to be a part of the event, I hope we get to work together again!
